Salary: £40,876.00 - £42,821 per annum plus LG Pension Scheme


We have a superb opportunity for an experienced professional to join Warwickshire County Council’s Finance Service as a Senior Accountant – Co-ordination & Performance.

The successful candidate will join our newly formed Operational Finance Delivery Team which delivers financial advice and guidance to services, supporting strategic and operational financial planning, monitoring and reporting.

The Role


With a team of four accounting technicians, the role leads the co-ordination of annual financial cycle processes (financial monitoring, budgeting, closedown) across the finance delivery team and services. It is also key to ensuring principles of consistency and standardisation are embedded in the service, providing technical support and developing improved processes for finance delivery and co-ordinating financial reporting from services. With significant expert use of financial systems and excel, the role works with staff across the finance service, front line services and external customers including central government.

Your Skills


We are looking for a CCAB qualified professional with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Local Government finance, who can also specifically demonstrate financial systems and advanced excel capabilities. As a Team Leader the postholder will demonstrate management and staff development skills, including the delivery of continuous improvement and appropriate planning and prioritisation.
