Job Start Date: January 2021

One or two roles, depending on applicant skills.

This exciting role covers two discrete aspects – leadership of the South Birmingham SCITT and leadership of the Summit Professional Learning Institute. Ideally one exceptional candidate would take on the role for both aspects, but the role can be divided with 0.5 FTE commitment for each. The latter would involve close working or job share between colleagues.

The South Birmingham SCITT has been a centre for initial teacher training since 2003, initially as Ninestiles SCITT, attached to the Ninestiles Teaching School. We have a deservedly strong reputation in the local and national arena for the provision of high-quality training – the leadership of the SCITT has been outstanding, and we’re looking for someone

who can take things to the next level of excellence?

Our innovative and ground-breaking Professional Learning Institute was launched in 2019 to promote, research and deliver excellent professional learning to all staff across our Trust. It’s early days for this initiative, and we are seeking an innovative and passionate leader to develop and embed the Institute.
