Support Worker Vacancies – Exmoor Drive

Salary: £18,562 - £18,933 pro rata

You will need to be empathetic, have a 'can-do' attitude, promote dignity, independence, respect and inclusion. You will be able to take direction, be flexible, sensitive, and have the ability to use your own initiative, along with having clear communication and recording skills. You will need to have an understanding of legislation such as the Mental Capacity Act and person-centered practice ensuring you are promoting and safeguarding the lives of people in your care.

1 X 14 or 21 Hour Post

A combination of weekday and weekend shift options are available and can be negotiated.

Presently all shifts are either 08.00-15.00 or 15.00-22.00. This is however subject to change depending on the needs of the service.

In addition to your salary, you will receive an enhancement for working between 10pm and 6am daily and a further enhancement for working Sundays. Your shifts will be worked on a four-week Rota pattern, this may be subject to amendment due to changing needs of the service.

You will be based at Exmoor Drive, a residential care home in Bromsgrove meeting the needs of people with care and support needs due to learning disability, dementia, mental health, physical disability and end of life. The services carries a 'Good' Care Quality Commission inspection rating.

You will receive all the training required to perform the role, which includes the Care Certificate, an intensive 2-week training package covering the essential skills and knowledge for social care work.
