Senior Accountant
NJC PO9 £38,890 - £41,881
Full Time 37 hour per week Permanent
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our team, supporting Adult Social Care and Health & Wellbeing on a day to day basis.
As Senior Accountant you will be responsible for producing work of a high standard and will be able to work independently with minimal supervision. You will be reporting to a Group Accountant and ultimately to the Finance Manager for the service area. Your work will involve “Pure accountancy” based tasks as well as the production of comprehensive financial management information to support the business. The role will also require preparation of budgets and active management and supervision of staff working with Managers to effectively manage their budgets. Reporting information to your Line Manager and Service Directors and middle Managers will mean you have good communication skills and will be able to build a good working relationship with members of the Management Team. It will also call for creative thinking and problem solving, modelling the financial demands on the services over a number of years.
