Apprentice Recycling Advisor

37 hours – Fixed term for 12 months (Days and shifts to be confirmed)

Salary: £8,784.26 per annum

About the Role

Are you passionate about recycling? Do you enjoy helping others? If the answer is yes to both of these questions, then we have the perfect opportunity for you. We are looking for two Recycling Advisor Apprentices, one based at our Recycling Centre in Leamington Spa and the other at the Recycling Centres in either Rugby or Dordon.

As an Apprentice Recycling Advisor you will be working towards your level 2 apprenticeship as a Waste Resource Operative whilst working outdoors informing and assisting members of the pubic with the use of the recycling and disposal facilities.

Although primarily based at either Princes Drive Recycling Centre, Leamington or Hunters Lane Recycling Centre, Rugby or Lower House Farm Recycling Centre, Dordon, you will have the opportunity to work at other recycling centres in the County as required.

Duties will include:

• Speaking to members of the public about recycling schemes
• Check that the right kind of materials have been put out for recycling
• Operate and maintain plant equipment
• Completing a range of training such as fire prevention and first aid

• You will assist in all areas of the role and if successful there is the opportunity to continue to complete level 3 and gain a full-time position as a Recycling Advisor at the end of the training.
