Administrative Assistant
20.5 hours per week
Monday to Thursday 12.00pm – 4.00pm
Friday 12.00pm – 4.30pm
Grade B - Scale Point 2-4

The Governors of The Federation of Abbey Infant and Junior School wish to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Administration Assistant to assist with administrative support within the school offices.
The successful applicant will work in a very busy office and have the ability to work under pressure and be flexible at all times. They will be required to carry out duties including: the administration and maintenance of Fund Manager, ParentPay, Purchase Ledger and data entry on SIMS.net. Reception, telephone and general administrative duties will also be required, which will include liaison with pupils, parents, staff and visitors. It is an essential requirement that the appointee is computer literate and has a current working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Responsibly for the administration for all Off Site, After School and Extended Schools Activities, to include collection and recording of income with Fund Manager and ParentPay. Booking of events, services and transport.
Processing orders and invoicing on the school’s financial information system (FMS) will also be a requirement.
The appointee will be expected to train in other administrative tasks as required in order to provide cover in the case of absence. In addition, the post holder will be trained as an appointed First Aider.
Federation of Abbey Infant and Junior School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable groups including children, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS clearance is therefore required for this role.
