Learning Support Assistant Level 2, Fixed Term Contract, Sacred Heart Primary
The Governors are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated teaching assistant.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting learning & development throughout the school. We are looking for the successful candidate to:
-Have proven effective classroom practice throughout Primary School children.
-Be a professional who enjoys motivating and exciting children about learning.
-Work effectively as part of a team.
-Have experience with SEN pupils.
-Have experience of working with challenging behaviour.
-Have a calm, nurturing approach when dealing with behaviour management.
-Is MAPA trained or has been previously (refresher course will be given if so).
-Preferably, to have experience in delivering early phonics or language programmes.
-Have good working practice of parental engagement.
-Assist with medical needs (training will be provided) for a Gastrostomy feed and supporting a child with a central line.
-Liaise with other professionals, such as social workers, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists and educational psychologists.

Hours: 32.5 hours per week - 12 month fixed time contract covering a vacancy
Grade: Band B, SCP 2-4 (£17,711 - £18,426 pa) - This is the full time salary and will be adjusted according to hours/weeks worked
