Worcestershire County Council’s Growth and Investment Team runs a number of projects to support businesses to start, innovate, grow and expand within the county.

We are looking for a Full Time Project Support Officer to support the delivery of Worcestershire wide externally funded business support projects to support the development, survival and growth of successful start-up businesses and small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs). The role will support the delivery externally funded business support projects under the Elevate programme to support established ambitious and growing businesses in Worcestershire to gain high quality, specialist support to drive their vision forward and take their business to the next level.

If you have an appreciation of issues affecting start-up and small businesses and experience of monitoring and administering external and publicly funded projects demonstrating keen attention to detail, then this job could be for you.

The successful applicant will have key responsibilities in supporting the delivery of business support projects delivered by partners and external providers, event delivery and ensuring that external funding requirements are fully met and evidenced. The projects will support economic growth in Worcestershire's SME base.

As part of a supportive team, you will work alongside colleagues within the County Council delivering information, business support and grant funding as well as other business support projects as part of the wider growth and investment offer.

The post is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund until 30th September 2022.

Worcestershire County Council operates a policy of flexible working and staff regularly work from home or an alternative work base, typically two days per week or 40% of their working hours.
