Integrated Commissioning, Performance and Partnerships co-ordinates the commissioning, purchasing and procurement of both internal and external services on behalf of the People Directorate for Adult Social Care, Children's Services and Public Health.  It also deals with compliments and complaints and provides analytical reporting on all aspects of the services we provide.

Integrated Commissioning, Performance and Partnerships consists of a broad range of specialism's that support the effective delivery of these services

Hours: 37 per week

Dudley Council has the highest ambitions for our children and young people. Revitalised council leadership arrangements are now in place and we have accelerated our efforts to support and strengthen the services we deliver to children and families. We have made significant strides to understand ourselves better and know what work needs to be done to ensure that we are consistently and successfully identifying and meeting the needs of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

A wide ranging and robust improvement programme has been implemented across both Dudley Council and Dudley CCG to make the changes and improvements to which we are committed. We are determined to work in partnership to transform the way that we work with children with SEND and their families. That means creating a new relationship with parents/ carers which is open and transparent, and characterised by increased levels of trust, a commitment to genuine consultation, partnership and co-production. This relationship is underpinned by a new ambitious structure and practice model that will be rolled out across all SEND services and will look at the way that we work with all children with SEND examining how we can create a unified high quality offer that makes sense for all children and young people.

Effective evidence and outcomes - based commissioning has a crucial role within this improvement programme as we seek to eliminate the variation and fragmentation in commissioning practice with involvement of children, young people and their families to ensure a consistent level of service quality.

To support the delivery of improved commissioning approaches we are seeking to recruit an experienced SEND Commissioning Officer, initially on a 12 month fixed term basis.

The council has a contractual 3 days mandatory unpaid leave which, for the majority of services, are fixed at the Christmas period.  This represents a pay deduction of 1.15% in return for which employees are afforded three days unpaid leave (pro-rata for part time staff).
