We are seeking to appoint a Head of Key Stage 4 Science to establish a clear vision for Key Stage 4 in line with the faculty’s and Academy’s vision and to build and develop a team focused on that vision. Starting date January 2021. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right person to work in a faculty with highly dedicated staff and motivated students. We are looking for a leader who is enthusiastic, ambitious and who can promote high expectations

within the Faculty and throughout the Academy as a whole. The successful post holder will be expected to evaluate the effectiveness of KS4 standards, to oversee assessment and data procedures and be accountable for quality assurance at Key Stage 4. Candidates must be able to teach across all specialisms at Key Stage 3 and 4 and preferably be able to

teach to A Level. The successful candidate will be fully supported in their career and professional development through a vast programme of CPD provided by the academy.

King Edward VI Handsworth Wood Girls’ Academy is an 11-18 comprehensive school in the north-west of Birmingham.
