Community Academies Trust - Tamworth

Head of Operations and Compliance

Full year full time role

Salary: £53,196 to £55,507 plus Local Government Pension Scheme benefits.

A new opportunity has arisen to lead within a charitable trust where everything we do is orientated around ensuring excellent community education for children and young adults aged 3 to 18.

We are seeking someone to shape and develop operations and compliance across the trust, ensuring we procure and manage infrastructure contracts efficiently and commercially and that our 17 Midlands based schools receive the value for money they deserve. This role will work with senior leaders across the trust, making a very real difference to how the 8,000 pupils in our care learn and how our 1,200 employees are empowered to carry out their responsibilities.

You will have experience of procurement and contract management, ideally with some regulated sector experience, but prior experience of working in education is not necessary. You will be capable of managing an outsourced ICT provision, not running one yourself. Recording, assessing and reporting on risk and tracking compliance with the requirements of our numerous regulators will also be a large part of this role.

If this role is of interest to you and you can contribute to our future success, more information is available on our website www.communityacademiestrust.org Should you require any other details  or an informal discussion please contact our Assistant to the Directors, Claire Cotton ccotton@catschools.uk or  01827 702216.

CV's should be sent to ccotton@catschools.uk .Closing date for application is Monday 28th September 2020 at 8am

Interviews will take place on Thursday 1st October (remotely) with shortlisted candidates at the end of day 1 being invited to a socially distanced interview in Tamworth on Friday 2nd October.

Community Academies Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff to share this commitment and to undergo appropriate checks, including enhanced DBS checks and a willingness to demonstrate commitment to the standards which flows from Community Academies Trust vision and values.

The role is covered by part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 and therefore the ability to speak fluent spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.

Community Academies Trust supports Equal Opportunities Employment.
