Trainee Field Technician

Temporary / with potential for permanency, full time based at Hawkes Point, Leamington Spa with travel across the Midlands (Grade F, 7-8)

We are seeking graduates looking to start a career in commercial archaeology on our CIfA approved training scheme (curtesy of Oxford Archaeology)

About the Organisation

Archaeology Warwickshire is a cadre of experts who successfully deliver high-quality, professional archaeology and heritage services across the midlands, to a range of private and public sector clients. Our core ethos for continual professional development and the advancement of local expertise has enabled us to thrive commercially whilst not losing sight that people come first.

We are looking for graduates with a keen interest in British archaeology who want to be trained on a broad range of heritage projects to begin, or continue, their career in commercial archaeology.

The successful candidates will undergo intensive training over an initial 12 week period and subject to satisfactory progress, will thereafter be offered a further 12 weeks training. It is expected that completion of the programme will generate an application for PCIfA membership, which AW will actively support and fund. Discretionary extensions of six weeks for each phase may be granted: the process will therefore take a minimum of 24 weeks and up to a maximum of 36 weeks.

Once part of our team you can expect extensive and fully-funded training, opportunities to develop specialisms, a healthy work-life balance and to be treated with respect. We support each other to be the best we can be.
