Quality Assurance and Compliance Officer - Ref: SS61220

This opportunity is offered as a Fixed Term Contract for external applicants or a Secondment for existing council employees until 31 March 2021 (with the possibility of an extension).

£30,150 - £34,385 per annum

Walsall Council Adult Social Care commissioning is a progressive service and following significant investment we have an exciting opportunity to join us.  We encourage our Quality Assurance and Compliance Officers to lead, support and challenge our external market to ensure good quality, outcome based services that meet the needs of Walsall residents. We have big plans and major projects underway including development of an Integrated Intermediate Care pathway and reviewing what Accountable Care organisations means for us.

We are looking for people willing to work as part of our team as a Quality Assurance & Compliance Officer to monitor service provision and contractual arrangements, ensure issues of compliance and performance are addressed, and drive up quality in adult social care provision.

The successful candidate will undertake the monitoring, evaluation and review of care provision, ensuring the effective use of compliance systems and quality assurance frameworks to achieve continuous improvement of all services and safeguarding of individuals, along with the collection and analysis of effective provider performance management information to ensure performance indicators are monitored and met.

They will assist in investigating service failures and investigate quality concerns You will develop and maintain good working relationships and communication with other statutory and voluntary agencies as well as other Council departments, having particular regard to effective working relationships with commissioning and care management teams,  and statutory and independent sector providers of commissioned services
