JOB TITLE: Deputy Head Sensory Team (VI)
Salary: UPS (£38,690 - £41,604) + 2 SEN (£4,479) + TLR2 Max (£7,017)
32.5 hours per week – Permanent / Full Time
An exciting opportunity to join the Leadership Team of Staffordshire’s Specialist Support Service (Vision Impairment Team) has arisen due to the promotion of the current post holder. The start date is 1st January 2021.
This post involves leading and managing the VI Team under the direction of the Head of Sensory and Autism Teams and would also be responsible for a small teacher caseload.
Our large centrally based team consists of Specialist Teachers, Communication Support Workers, Mobility Officers, ICT Resource Technician and Intervenors. We support Children and Young People with sensory loss in a variety of settings including homes, mainstream and specialist settings across the county. We maintain a strong commitment to multi-agency working, inclusive education, high standards of attainment, and quality of life experiences for all our pupils.
The post reflects Teacher’s Pay and Conditions and will be term time. However, there will be the expectation of some availability at other times. Staffordshire pays essential car user allowance and supports agile working. Smart phone and laptop are provided.
