Grade 6 (SCP 19 – 24)
£25,481 – £28,672 per annum
37 hours per week
10-month fixed term contract (with possible ability to extend)
Now is the time to come and work for Redditch Borough and Bromsgrove District Council’s Development Services team.
We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and energetic Sports Development Officer who has a focus on encouraging active and creative behaviours in our populations. You will be able to work proactively to develop projects and build stakeholder relationships across two diverse local authority areas. The post holder will be a leader/project manager passionate about sports and the positive impact of physical activity, with a track record of developing and delivering work in this area. They will be able to work well with a wide range of partners at local, regional and national level, taking the lead on programmes, projects and schemes which make a difference for residents in Bromsgrove and Redditch.
Key areas of responsibility
• To develop activity programmes, projects and schemes that promote the positive impact that sport, physical activity and active recreation can have on residents standard of living at all times.
• To work alongside stakeholders, residents and elected members to support the Council’s vision for Leisure and Cultural Services.
