We are looking for Support Workers to join our hugely valued Reablement Service at Solihull Council.

The Reablement Service works with adults in the community to offer up to 6 weeks reablement support, helping individuals to achieve agreed goals, restore confidence and regain lost skills, supported by Occupational Therapists if appropriate.

Initially shadowing experienced team members, you will be working as a key worker helping to engage, encourage and motivate people to achieve their maximum level of independence. You will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of both yourself and people we support. You will help with creating personalised reablement plans, ensuring all relevant information is shared with your Line Manager and the wider team.

The nature of the role means that anyone joining our team will work with people who have been discharged from hospital and this will include individuals who have tested positive with COVID19.

The safety of our staff is our absolute priority and we ensure we follow all Public Health England Guidance and provide relevant training and essential Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to enable you to be able to carry out the role safely.

We currently have several part time positions available of 20 hours per week, including working every other weekend. We also consider weekend and evening only workers. The operational hours are currently between 7am to 10pm. We operate 365 days of the year on a rota basis.

Examples of working patterns including working 4-5 days out of 7:

7am to 2pm

4pm to 10pm
