THIS IS AN INTERNAL VACANCY OPEN TO WALSALL COUNCIL EMPLOYEES ONLY

Walsall Council’s Adult Social Care Directorate are seeking to appoint a Lead Officer– Commissioned Services Payments Team, as part of a creation of a newly formed support services team within the Adult Social Care Directorate.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with us to shape and develop an adult social care commissioned service payments team. You will maximise the use of technologies available and develop effective internal and external relationships, to ensure efficient and streamlined procure to pay processes. We are seeking candidates who have experience in: 

  • Developing positive relationships across services and with our external service provider partners
  • Developing systems, processes to streamline and deliver effective services
  • Leading the development and management of a team of staff
  • Working in an environment which requires effective use of resources and decision making
  • Experience of leading financial processing activities

This post is covered by the Government’s Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty for public sector workers.  The post holder will be required to communicate verbally with customers and provide advice and/or information in accurate spoken English.
