Job Title: Business and IP Centre Engagement Manager
Salary: £27,741 - £29,577
Full-Time: 37 Hours
Location: Worcester
Temporary: ends 31/3/2023

Worcestershire County Council are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Engagement Manager to lead the next phase of Business and IP Centre Worcestershire, expanding and extending our new business support offer for entrepreneurs and SMEs across Worcestershire Libraries. Now a part of the Business and IP Centre national network under the British Library, the launch of the Centre will support free access to business intelligence, provide a range of webinars, masterclasses and one to ones in support of pre or early start businesses signposting them to existing partner support, and will provide IP information and guidance for businesses.

Experienced at leading teams to meet project KPIs, working adeptly with partners and colleagues to develop innovative programmes, and promoting and developing services or events to reach new audiences - your excellent communication skills will be backed up by the ability to deliver tangible results. This post will be based at The Hive, with regular travel required across all of Worcestershire's libraries.

Situated in the south-west Midlands, Worcestershire is a place of rolling hills and beautiful countryside with a range of towns with both industrial and rural heritage, and at its heart the mediaeval city of Worcester with its iconic cathedral and riverside setting. Yet this stunning place is only an hour by train from the bustle of England’s second city and all of the attractions of Birmingham.

As this role is about attracting new audiences, we particularly welcome applications from those who are under-represented in some areas of Business activity: women, people of an ethnic minority or people living with a disability.

We are inclusive – this is really important to us and we are proud to be a Disability Confident Employer.

Disability Confident is helping us recruit and retain great people to meet our workforce needs.

If you have a disability and require reasonable adjustments, please let us know.

Application Closing Date: Tuesday 29th September 2020
Proposed Interview Date: Tuesday 6th October 2020
