Hours per week: 32.5 - Term time only , (8.30am to 3.30pm, Mon – Fri, hours negotiable)

Contract Type: - Fixed-term contract ending on 21st July 2021 - This is a new role needed due to the current pandemic. Will review nearer to the end of the contract.

Aston Manor Academy are seeking to appoint, a committed and dedicated General School Support Assistant to start as soon as possible. This is a new role which will be is varied, interesting and very rewarding. You will demonstrate a flexible approach to the frequently changing demands of the role, work as part of a team, and assist the staff in securing

the safety and welfare of pupils during break / lunchtimes. You will also be involved in effective supervision and control of pupils in the dining hall, playground and about other school premises and be prepared to engage in ancillary duties as determined by the Assistant Headteacher. The role is diverse and will require you to also take part in pastoral work, behaviour management and general classroom support. We are very much a community of staff who are supportive and friendly and would welcome applications who are resilient, enjoy a challenge and relishes working with young people

and as part of a wider team. Previous experience working in the education sector is highly desirable.
