Are you thinking of taking up a career in education and looking for experience of working in a successful school with a great team? Perhaps you are considering a teacher training course, and to want to gain paid experience in a support role before fully committing to this career path? Alternatively, you may have already had a career in education or working with young people or simply have a passion for supporting the learning and development of children of secondary school age.
Our Cover Supervisors play an important part in school life, providing a complementary service to existing teachers and pastoral staff within the school, addressing the needs of students, supporting them in overcoming barriers to learning, and enabling them to achieve their full potential.
We are looking for someone with a love of learning and an assertive, however positive presence around students to provide short-term cover for absent teachers, support the Vertical Tutoring programme where necessary, mentor and support individual students, and provide lunchtime supervision when required.
Do you have good interpersonal skills and a competent level of literacy and numeracy?
Previous experience is not necessary as you will be given a full induction and training programme, however an understanding of working with children and the related child protection and safeguarding policies is required.
