St Nicholas CE First School has an exciting opportunity for any supply teachers who wish to become trusted members of the small supply teaching team within a thriving 2 form entry school.    This opportunity has come about as we are a school who is reluctant to take on supply agency staff, preferring to work with teachers who become well acquainted with the school, its high standards and expectations.   With the implications of Covid-19 that remain throughout this term and beyond, we wish to grow our network of supply teachers to ensure that school can continue as far as possible when teachers need to self-isolate.

In turn supply staff can expect from us:

  • a positive and approachable year group partner
  • teaching assistant support in the morning
  • a rich and varied curriculum that is well planned and resourced
  • clear routines, systems and behaviour expectations
  • a supportive leadership team

and most importantly:

  • well motivated pupils and supportive parents.

Applicants MUST

  • have good IT skills
  • be good communicators and take seriously the responsibility for the pastoral welfare and safety of pupils as well as academic
  • be punctual and reliable
  • be committed safeguarding
  • be positive and resilient characters

In this role, you will work alongside experienced staff who are committed to making a difference.

Our school is a welcoming and supportive Christian environment in which to work. If you are a friendly, patient and hard-working individual, we would love to hear from you.

The successful candidates will have to meet the requirements of the person specification and will be subject to pre-employment checks including a health check, an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.

Please return your completed application form, as well a one page letter sharing your reasons for wishing to be considered for our supply team as well as any experiences and skills which would make you a suitable candidate.
