Job Start Date: ASAP

Grove Centre – 25hrs (split shift) (Mon-Friday) 7am-9am & 2.30pm-5.30pm

GR2 Salary Range £18,562 to £20,493 – actual salary £12,714 to £14,036

Milpool Centre - 20hrs (split shift) (Mon-Friday) 6.30am-8.30am & 3.30pm-5.30pm

GR2 Salary range £18,562 to £20,493 - actual salary £10,171 to £11,229

The City of Birmingham School is Birmingham City Council’s Pupil Referral Unit. The School has 8 specialised teaching centres across the city offering personalised educational programme.

To work under the guidance/instruction of appropriate senior staff: to provide maintenance and security services on school premises and sites thereby ensuring a safe working environment

The main responsibilities of a Building Site Supervisor will usually include:

• To ensure that the school and grounds are in a good state of repairs and appearance;

• To ensure the security, health and safety and cleanliness of the school is maintained;

• To ensure all Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to and followed at all times.

• To participate fully in all aspects of the life of the school, maintaining good relationships

with children, staff, parents and visitors;

• To supervise and support the cleaning staff as and when required.

• To support the Estates Manager with the up-keep on the internal spaces of the building i.e. decorating and minor repairs.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
