College Counsellor (Part-time)
A professionally qualified, experienced Counsellor is required in Student Services as soon as possible. The position is part-time, 4 hours per week, on Fridays, during term time (38 weeks per annum). Availability to meet occasional emergency counselling requests outside these hours would be an advantage.
The vacancy is for a flexible and adaptable person with excellent communication skills at all levels who is able to respond to the demands of the counselling service for mostly 16-19 students but also for adults when required.
It is intended that the person appointed will have a client centred approach and a high level of counselling training and qualifications. Work principles will be in accordance with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Code of Ethics. Arrangements will be made to ensure the Counsellor is supervised and has appropriate support.
