We are currently recruiting for a Home Improvement Officer to carry out inspections of dwellings to process Disabled Facilities Grants and housing repair schemes.
The Home Improvement Officer will also be involved in reading construction drawings and designing basic schemes of improvement, repairs and adaptations tailored to meet the specific needs of clients within Warwickshire.

 

 

 

 

 

Key requirements

BTEC/HNC in Building/construction or equivalent qualification and / or 3 years building surveying /project managing experience in the construction industry.

The successful candidate will have:

• Ability to identify housing defects and remedial works
• Have experience of supervising construction works
• Ability to read and prepare technical drawings
• Excellent written, verbal communication and numerical skills
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
• Flexible and adaptable to change
• Possession of full driving licence and ability to travel throughout Warwickshire
