SEN Support Assistant  

31.25 hours, term-time only

Abbey Hill School & College is a successful and over-subscribed school meeting the needs of children and young people with learning difficulties, communication & interaction difficulties and/or Autistic Spectrum Conditions. 

Abbey Hill School is rapidly expanding and now has ‘satellite’ classes on two mainstream school sites. Our governors are seeking to employ suitably experienced and qualified individuals for a range of permanent and temporary positions. 

We are looking for dedicated and flexible individuals to join Abbey Hill School as SEN Support Assistants to support the teaching and learning of our children and young people.

You must be able to empathise with children from a wide range of backgrounds and be capable of nurturing positive relationships with and between children.

Minimum essential requirements:

You must meet the national occupational standards (NOS) in Supporting Teaching & Learning Level 3 and be working at NVQ Level 3.

We have a variety of posts both permanent and temporary.  The posts are all term-time only working 31.25 hours per week worked over five days.

Salary:  Level 5:  full time full year £20,092 - £22,183, pro-rata to £14769 - £16689
