Teaching Assistant Level 1 (Special)
10.0 Hours per Week
Fixed Term Contract - 21st July 2021
We are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated teaching assistant to join our friendly and committed team for 1:1 support for a child.
Be committed to own professional development, and be willing to undertake other appropriate training, preferable leading to national standards (NVQ level2).
Minimum of GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths at grades A – C.
Have good communication and listening skills and be able to present information verbally and in writing.
Have experience of TA work (preferable).
To be able to feedback information to teachers/intervention manager.
Understand school’s policies and how they relate to local and national frameworks/policies (e.g. child protection, health and safety, equal opportunities, SEN).
Have good level of knowledge and understanding of SEN and areas of the curriculum.
Can use ICT effectively to support learning (e.g. communicate in print, wigit, nessy, word-shark etc.) and other types of technology.
Can adapt planning if required.
Can solve problems and can exercise initiative and independent action.
Demonstrate full understanding of safeguarding issues within a school setting
