Cardinal Griffin Catholic College

Cover Supervisors

The rate of pay will be grade 5 (£11.62/hr)

(The post holder will be employed as Grade 5, Term Time Only)

Cardinal Griffin Catholic College is seeking to appoint a number of casual cover supervisors to cover on an ad-hoc basis the absences of teaching staff. These posts may be Casual or for a Fixed Term and will be required to start as soon as possible.

This is an exciting opportunity for Cover Supervisors to work in all areas of the school and may suit suitably qualified individuals who are looking to get experience of work within a school with a view to applying to go into teaching or teaching assistant work.

We are seeking individuals who are available at short notice to cover classes as required. Candidates must be suitable to work with children and young people and able to supervise whole classes.

The College strongly encourages applications from practicing Catholics, however, all applicants must be supportive of our ethos. We are extremely proud of our ethos which comes in very large part from our Jesuit Associate School membership and Catholic Diocesan heritage. This teaches us to be grateful for the gift of teaching that we have and to be generous in using it for the good of our pupils.

Closing date for applications is: Friday 30th October 2020, although the College reserves the right to interview as soon as it has a suitable field of candidates and so encourages early applications.

Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous, but it not essential.

We welcome further discussions about this post, for further information please contact Mrs H Tapper 01543 502215 or via email h.tapper@cardinalgriffin.staffs.sch.uk.

This College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people/vulnerable adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This position is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Further details regarding this check are available from the College.
