The Role


35.0 Hours per Week

We are inviting applications for the post of Pre School Manager. As an outstanding school, we are looking for someone who is keen to make their mark, and to join the team at Hillmorton Primary School. This is an exciting opportunity, and one that will cause considerable interest locally and further afield.

The new manager will have experience in running an early years setting, or experience of acting as a Deputy in this role and will be confident in communicating with staff, families and other professionals as required. At Hillmorton Primary School, we aim to nurture all our children by giving them the opportunity to develop physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually through playing, exploring and learning with others in an environment that is safe, stimulating, child-focused and above all, happy and fun!

All our pupils demonstrate great care for each other, fostered by the good example of relationships within the school family. We teach children to become outstanding learners by promoting good values. As the Pre School Manager, you will be heavily involved in making the transition to full time education a success. You will also be excited by playing an important role in a very successful school. You will be responsible for supervising a team of nursery staff, including recruitment, performance management, supervision, work allocation and ensuring quality of work.


Key Requirements

You will need to have experience of budgeting or have a broad understanding on how to monitor this as well as accounting for expenditure.

NVQ 3 or Equivalent in Childcare Education Minimum of 2 years experience Knowledge and understanding of all school policies, systems, procedure and protocols Knowledge and understanding of national standards for childcare, EY foundation stage,Every Child Matters agenda. Competent in use of ICT and software packages(eg word, excel etc) Experience of managing others and able to lead and guide others. Able to communicate effectively with a range of audiences.
