We have an exciting opportunity for 2 x Kitchen Assistants at Northwick Manor Primary School, the school is part of The Rivers CofE Academy family of schools.
What are we looking for:
We are looking for enthusiastic, experienced, Kitchen Assistants who are looking for an exciting new opportunity. A passion for working within a catering environment is essential.
You will have:
- Previous experience of working in a busy kitchen that produces high volume meals
- Good understanding of health & safety, food handling regulations and procedures
- Able to work within tight deadlines
- Able to work as part of a team
- Good interpersonal skills
- Flexible
- Positive and hard working
- Ideally hold a food hygiene certificate
- Understanding of food allergens and different diets
- Clean driving licence
Your responsibilities will include:
- Washing and drying up
- Operating a dishwasher
- Cleaning duties
- Basic food preparation
- Serving children pupils, staff, parents at all settings
- Loading and unloading large heavy boxes into a van if required
- Ideally be able to drive our kitchen van to our export school and serving hot lunches there when necessary
- Assist food preparation for any school and external events
- Keeping the kitchen to our 5 star rating
- To attend training when required
- To carry out any other duties when required
