We know how important this is in achieving forward thinking and progressive social work practice where children and young people experience a great consistent and responsive service and our partners have trust and confidence in us.

We have expanded our Social Work services and as a result have a limited number of permanent social work vacancies for experienced social workers looking for their next challenge:

The social work roles offer a salary of up to £41,728 plus a welcome payment of up to £3,000,* with a relocation package of up to £10,000 for eligible applicants.

MASH Social Worker 18.5hrs

This role is located at County Hall with partner agencies and responds to all contacts and referrals across the county.

Emergency Duty Team Social worker 18.5 hours

This is a permanent part time position in our out of hours service which covers both Hereford and Worcestershire children’s services but is located at County Hall in Worcestershire. EDT social workers receive an additional 20% to their basic salary due to working unsociable hours.

Assessment Team Social Workers

These teams respond to the outcome of referrals from our MASH and complete social work assessments, child protection enquires alongside any emergency accommodation or court work.   We have six teams that work across our county.

Safeguarding social workers

We have fourteen teams based across the county who hold a caseload of CIN, CP and LAC cases through to permanency.

Children with disabilities (This role does not get market forces)

These teams work north and south of the county and we have two vacancies in our south team. This team conducts social work assessments, manages packages of care, holds child protection and Looked After children.

Looked After Children’s team

We have three teams who work across our county with children and young people who are Looked after up until they move into our leaving care service.
