To start as soon as possible.
One part-time Teaching Assistant ( 26.25 hours per week, term time only)
At Barnfields we have high expectations of all our children, both academically and socially. Through attaining their best academic achievement, alongside developing values of Respect, Responsibility, Reflection, Resilience and Positivity, our children gain confidence, enjoy challenges, solve problems and are able to make informed choices. Our school motto is ‘Believe and Achieve’ and the children actively strive towards this in all they do.
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Level 2 Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible, subject to pre-employment clearance. The successful candidate will support children and young people to achieve their potential by overcoming their barriers to learning. The role will have a particular focus on supporting a child with an Education and Healthcare Support Plan, enabling them to access the curriculum individually and alongside their peers but will also involve working within the year group supporting the class teachers and other children.
The role will require the successful candidate to demonstrate:
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills
- Flexibility to work with all year groups
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- A kind, caring and nurturing approach to the children
- A high standard of professional conduct
- The ability to work effectively under the guidance of the teacher
- The willingness to take part in all aspects of school life
In return, we can offer motivated pupils who enjoy coming to school, are well-behaved and who have outstanding attitudes towards their learning. A dedicated, hardworking and highly professional team of teaching and support staff, a supportive, well-organised and committed governing body. We are proud to have parents who value the school and are partners in their children’s learning and have strong community links
