About Us
We are recruiting to the following role in the Operational Finance Delivery Team team:
- 1 x Finance Officer – Operational Delivery (£24,491 - £27,041) - supporting Communities/Resources.
This role, reporting to the Senior Accountant, is part of a team which provides high quality financial advice and support to senior managers and cost centre managers in relation to their financial responsibilities, both revenue and capital. It includes supporting the County Council's financial framework processes by providing service financial information to enable the preparation of medium term financial plans, annual budgets, monthly budget monitoring/forecasting and year end closedown.
The Role
The role is key to ensuring that appropriate challenge and assurance are provided by the finance service whilst also delivering services financial information that adds value to their decision making and business planning processes.
We are looking for an appropriately qualified or experienced finance professional who can:
- independently interpret and analyse varied and complex information or situations and produce solutions
- communicate, in person and/or in writing, complicated or sensitive information with varied audiences
- work under pressure including meeting unpredictable deadlines and dealing with conflicting demands
- lead on the development of the financial aspects of policy/service practice meeting the requirements of specific services
