Car Park Attendants

10 hours per week

£8.77 - £9.28 per hour

Fixed Term until December 2020

with the possibility of further extension to Easter 21 or June 2021

Working hours are as follows:

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 8.15 a.m – 9.15 a.m. and 3.30 p.m. – 4.30 p.m.

Tuesday, 8.15 a.m. – 9.15 a.m. and 2.15 p.m.  – 3.15 p.m.

Please indicate which days and times you are available to work on your application.

The duties of the College Car Park Attendant will include, but not limited to:

• Directing traffic on the College internal road
• Checking vehicles are correctly parked, displaying a valid permit (where applicable)
• Assisting vehicles, including mini buses, to park correctly and safely
• Operating the barrier where applicable
• Directing student vehicles to the correct area
• Directing staff to free spaces and indicating when the car park is full
• Ensure the gates are opened and locked in line with College safety protocol

College Car Park Attendants should:

• Have good communication skills.
• Be able to work alone or in a team.
• Be trustworthy and fair minded.
• Be calm and level headed.
• Be aware of safety issues.
• Be familiar with the local area to provide assistance for alternative parking arrangements.
