Job Details

Each day, rain or shine, thousands of children in Coventry cross the road with a School Crossing Patrol on their journeys to and from school.

Patrols operate at many locations in the city and they are sited to ensure that the children and their parents are able to travel to school more safely.

What is the job role?

This School Crossing Patrol post is to located on Alderman’s Green Road, outside of Alderman’s Green School and the site is operated before and after school.

You will be needed to work for 7 hours and 5 mins each week, working shifts that are 8.20am to 9.10am and then again from 3.10pm to 3.45pm.

Hourly pay: £9.43 - £9.81

You will be working alone, but with line management support if it is required.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a confident, motivated and reliable individual who is trusted to work alone and carry out their job as it should be done every day that they are required to be on site.

We need someone who is able to work outside in all weathers (for fairly short shifts) as the service operates every school day, whether it’s sunny and hot or raining and windy! Uniform is provided.
