We are investing in our Adults’ Social Care Services to support our priorities and in keeping with our responsibilities under the Care Act (2014). We are also entering into an exciting period of Transformation, which will require staff to be flexible and willing to embrace new ways of working with customers.

Working within the newly formed PCNs will support our ambition to help adults live safe, healthy and independent lives by offering enhanced preventative and pro-active community services. This means our multi-skilled locality teams enable us to be responsive to individuals whatever their needs.

This role will involve the management of two frontline teams – Safeguarding and Advice Referral Team (ART). This leader will be an accomplished communicator and highly respected Social Work leader, skilled at creating a shared vision and culture across all aspects of practice. They will ensure a person-centred, strength based and risk appropriate approach permeates through decision making at all levels

You will be an experienced social work manager or a practitioner with substantial experience and expertise in statutory social work looking to progress into a management role. Your experience will enable you to evidence how you have applied your learning to your practice; and you will have a proven track record of excellent practice that improves outcomes.

You will influence  system-wide cultural change, and work together to achieve a joined-up approach to operational services, creating a clear vison for the future social care workforce  that demonstrates innovative, best practice and serves to inspire colleagues in other parts of the service and partner agencies. The ability to lead the development and implementation of strategy in relation to key areas of practice will be essential

With increasing, complex demand and a challenging financial environment, you will be pivotal in, forming strong and influential relationships across the system to deliver value for money services which manage risk appropriately and improve outcomes

This position will enable you to progress your career as part of an ambitious and creative management team, in one of the most beautiful parts of the country.

You must be qualified with a social work degree or equivalent, and will need to be Social Work England registered.
