We are looking to recruit a committed, flexible and enthusiastic level 2 teaching assistant to join our hardworking staff team.

Langley caters for children aged 3 – 11 years who have moderate learning difficulties; some of our pupils have additional complex needs including Autism.

The successful applicant will initially support a class teacher in KS1 but may also be required to work in KS2. It is essential that you can pick up and follow routines quickly. You should be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills, be an effective team member and be prepared to use initiative.

This is a temporary fixed term position with a start date of 16th November 2020 (or earlier if at all possible) and will end on 31st August 2021.

The role will involve:

Supporting the class teacher with the preparation of resources for lessons and contribution to the provision and maintenance of a healthy, stimulating, safe and enabling learning environment Supporting pupils during lessons and to lead groups in the classroom or outside the main teaching area as required Delivering an outstanding standard of care (including personal care), well-being, education and play, building and

maintaining strong parent relationships The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:

Flexibility Ability to work using their initiative and as part of a team Clear and effective communication with pupils and colleagues Initiative and desire to take ownership of tasks

Passion and commitment to supporting children and young people with Special Needs. This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
