Job Title: Senior Site Manager

School: St George’s Church of England Academy, Newtown

Hours: 7.00am – 11.30am and 3.00pm – 6.00pm 52 weeks a year with 28 days paid holiday

Salary: £23,344 - £29,317 Grade 3 (depending on experience)

Location: Newtown, Birmingham

Start: December 2020 or earlier if possible

Closing date: 12 noon on Monday 12th October 2020

Opportunity for a Senior Site Manager at St George’s Church of England Primary School  

Purpose of the post

To oversee the site management of a group of schools.

To provide line management of the Site Supervisors deployed at the schools within the cluster. To liaise with all stakeholders to co-ordinate maintenance and capital works within the hub in line with agreed plans. To ensure appropriate training and development programs are in place for all the site staff within the group. To demonstrate best practise in the management.

St George’s Newtown is part of the Birmingham Diocesan Multi-Academy Trust (BDMAT) and therefore will be supported by and connected with a network of Church of England schools within the region. The Trust was established in 2017 by Birmingham Diocesan Board of Education, which has a strong track record of providing excellent educational provision and achieving rapid school improvement across all phases. The trust currently has 17 schools, all primary, spread across three local authority areas;

Birmingham City (9 schools), Warwickshire (6 schools) and Solihull (2 schools). Our plan is to increase initially to twenty schools including a brand-new secondary school due to open in 2021. 

The vision of the Trust is to ensure pupils have ‘life in all its fullness’; providing an education that will offer a wide range of opportunities and experiences within a Christian framework.
