The Role


31.67 Hours per Week

St Nicholas CE Primary School Kenilworth is looking to appoint an excellent, enthusiastic and highly motivated Teaching Assistant who enjoys working as part of a team to join our friendly, experienced, dedicated and hardworking team of staff and Governors. Our valued team of T/As work well together, receive training and development as appropriate for their needs and the needs of the school, and provide a wide range of additional extra-curricular activities and pastoral support. The successful candidate will be based partly in Key Stage 2 in a class based role as part of a year group team. The successful candidate ideally would be interested in supporting and promoting physical fitness and wellbeing across the school.

Additional paid opportunities may be available for a suitably qualified and experienced candidate.

Hours are 31 hrs 40 mins per week, Monday - Friday, 8.40 pm to 3.30 pm, term time plus training days.

The post holder will be supporting the high quality provision within our large primary school and will:

Have a passion for learning and able to work confidently across the school Be proactive and work effectively as part of a team supporting our Church school ethos Understand how children learn and be able to support their development both with academic subjects and physical wellbeing Have high expectations and be able to inspire pupils in order to further enhance learning and wellbeing Demonstrate initiative in the classroom and wider school Have a patient and creative approach Be conscientious, hardworking and enthusiastic Be willing to undertake further training Be qualified to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
