Trainee Anatomical Pathology Technologist
The mortuary provides post-mortem services for the Birmingham and Solihull Coroner Area covering a population of 1.3 million people with 1,700 post mortems conducted annually.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Anatomical Pathology Technician to be employed in the Central Mortuary in Birmingham City Centre.
You will be required to study toward a level 3 diploma in anatomical pathology technology. It is expected that you will attend an appropriate course and pass within the qualification defined time frame of that course.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with experience within the funeral/mortuary profession preferred, but not essential to join our team of 4 qualified Anatomical pathology technologists.
Experience within a relevant profession such a funeral directors, hospital setting and dealing with the deceased is preferred
The duties include in participating in an out of office hours on call rota including weekends and bank holidays.
