Can you make a positive difference every day? As the lead lawyer in Property, Planning and Regeneration matters for Britain’s largest city council, you will have the opportunity to. The current period of growth and change has been described as a Golden Decade in Birmingham's history and you will be instrumental in delivering this legacy.

You will need to be a practising lawyer and expert in Property & Planning Law and major regeneration schemes and also an experienced leader with the drive and passion to manage multiple major regeneration schemes, and a proven track record of multi-disciplinary management within a large firm or in-house Legal department.

Your life experiences shape you and how you deliver, meaning you cover a broad range of relevant areas - from change management, to partnership building, to commercial decision making.

You must care about what you do, and how you do it, being passionate about improving standards and performance. Equally important will be your vision and insight, and your ability to foster challenging but supportive relationships with the people you represent and advise, both as their trusted legal adviser, but also as a persuasive colleague.

Interviews for this post will take place virtually via video conferencing. Shortlisted candidates will be provided with further information.
