Park Hall Academy is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Librarian to enthuse students with a lifelong love of learning and literature.

This role is particularly important as we seek to support our students with on-line literacy and learning. You will take responsibility for integrating the library service into the life of the school and ensuring it reflects the educational aims and objectives of the school. We will look to you to inspire a love of literacy by promoting the library and its resources within the library, the school and externally.

You will oversee budgets, arrange classification and cataloguing, maintain library resources and encourage pupils’ participation in children’s literary events and author visits. Important will be the ability to deliver services that are responsive to the fast-changing worlds of communications and information technology.

In particular, we expect the successful candidate to support remote learning such as online homework support. Awareness of the Accelerated Reading programme, experience in budgetary management and knowledge of Eclipse.net software used to process issuing, returns and barcoding of books would be an advantage.

If you have the passion to deliver a first-class library community please visit our website for more information.
