Urgent Care Social Worker L2 or L3 - Community Hospitals
37 hours per week

Salary:
L2 –  £25,481 to £28,672
L3 - £29,577 to £33,782

We have an exciting opportunity for a Qualified Social Worker to join our Team and would welcome either L2 or L3 candidates.

We are a Countywide Team based in beautiful County of Worcestershire having the breath-taking Malvern Hills to the south and the City of Worcester with its famous Cathedral, Cricket Ground and University. To the north we have some beautiful riverside towns such as Bewdley and Bromsgrove and Redditch all in easy reach of the M5.

The Team provides Social Care support to the 8 Community Hospitals we have in Worcestershire including the Older Adult Mental Health Wards based at the same site as the Princess of Wales Community Hospital. We pride ourselves on our strong partnership working in order to achieve positive outcomes for the patients and families we support. We use a Strength Based Approach using the 3 conversations Principles and the Home First Agenda is key to the work we do.
Successful Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate a working understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and have a clear understanding the Continuing Health Care National Framework. It is vital that you have a professional curiosity when considering issues relating to Safeguarding and understand this legislation as stated under the Care Act. Worcestershire County Council uses Liquid Logic as their data base and therefore it would be desirable if you are familiar with this System but not essential as training will be provided.

Under the Covid19 Hospital Discharge Guidance we use a Discharge to Assess Model to provide patients with time to recover before we consider Long Term Planning this has been both exciting and challenging. During the Pandemic we have had to adapt to different ways of working so candidates will also need to have resilience to manage change.

To support the strong team ethics the Team is divided into ‘Clusters’ Of workers each having responsibility for a number or Hospitals. The Cluster Vacancy is with the Social Workers providing support to Malvern Community Hospital and Worcester City Inpatients Unit. However, a degree of flexibility and the ability to travel is essential although any needs under the Equality Act will be taken into account.

The successful candidate will be provided with Induction and ongoing regular Supervision. If you are a Newley Qualified Social Worker, you will be proved with Support to complete your Assessed Year in Practice. You will also have support to maintain  Continual Professional Development and access Training.

What should you do if you are Interested?
If you are a Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England, you work in a positive, proactive way and can be creative and innovative with a strong Team Approach I am keen to hear from you so please apply using the guidance.

If you would like to talk to me informally first then please ring me
