Hagley Catholic High School is a highly successful, oversubscribed Catholic high school with a current population of 1131 students aged 11 – 18 including a Sixth Form of 212.  The school is dedicated to developing a Catholic community in which all students work towards fulfilling their potential in a safe and supportive environment.

Hagley Catholic High School is part of St Nicholas Owen Catholic Multi Academy Company with five of our Catholic feeder schools. St Nicholas Owen Catholic Multi Academy Company was established in October 2014, as part of the Diocesan Academy Strategy across the Archdiocese of Birmingham, and brought together six schools, which all have a strong tradition of excellence in Catholic education. The Multi Academy Company was formed on the basis of effective working relationships, with the aim of strengthening and further improving the life chances of all the young people within our strong Catholic partnership. Role: Learning Support Assistant

Salary: £18,795 - £19,171 full time equivalent per year (actual salary £8,689 - £8,863)

Grade 3 Scale: New SCP 5 - 6, Teaching Assistant Level 2

Hours: 20 hours per week/39 weeks per year (term time only including 5 training days)

Role to commence: as soon as possible

Closing date: 12pm Sunday 1st November 2020

Interviews to take place: Friday 6th November 2020

The Academy Committee seek to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to work under the guidance of teaching staff with a limited degree of autonomy and will require someone who has specific skills and experience. The role may require the suitable candidate to work with specific student(s) at the direction of the SENCO.

To implement agreed work programmes with individuals/groups and support teaching staff in the development and education of students including the provision of detailed and specialist skills/knowledge in particular areas. To assist the teacher in the whole planning cycle and supervise whole classes or groups during the short-term absence of a teacher.
