Job Details

Have you got what it takes to join to Birmingham Children’s Trust, in delivering effective Early Help directly to families. The successful applicants will be responsible for enabling families to achieve excellent outcomes.

Birmingham Children’s Partnership is strengthening, we have a greater understanding of the needs of our communities, and a shared ambition to strengthen our offer to children. We want to deliver services that children and families will benefit from, this role will play a huge part in making this happen.

The Partnership is committed to developing a new locality-based early help offer and these roles will be key to delivering a whole family Early Help response.

The successful applicants will provide effective interventions in supporting families to become strong again, offering children and parents the opportunity to work with us, helping them achieve good outcomes, increase attendance, and reduce the need for requiring specialist services, whilst working actively with partners, schools, community services and the voluntary sector.

We have learned so much more about the needs of children and families during the pandemic.  We will therefore take account of that learning and we intend to be stronger because of this partnership approach.

With external funding until 31st March 2023, this will be a secondment opportunity to internal staff and fixed term contract for external candidates. A review will take place in 2022 with the expectation of extended funding which could result in an offer of a permanent contract.

You will have proven experiences of working directly with children and families to make effective change in their lives by delivering evidence-based interventions in family homes, education and community settings. You will have experience of assessing family needs and working in partnership on a plan to achieve excellent outcomes for our families in Birmingham.

In return we offer up to 34 days annual leave, a final salary pension and a range of employee benefits.
