£37,516 - £42,398 per annum

This position is offered as a secondment opportunity for Walsall Council employees or a fixed-term contract for external applicants, until 31 March 2021.

The Senior Commissioning Officer will provide valuable high quality assistance and support to the Commissioning Team on a wide range of commissioning programmes aimed at improving the quality and efficiency of care and support delivery.

As a key team player, you will work flexibly across Commissioning to meet business need, contributing to the delivery of strategic commissioning intentions, transformational plans, and integrated commissioning programmes including the Better Care Fund. You will provide comprehensive, efficient and professional support to commissioners across Health, Public Health and Adult Social Care, and interface confidently with providers and partners; delivering a suite of activities to ensure the team is fully supported in all areas of commissioning activity.

We are seeking someone who has excellent commissioning skills, experience of commissioning and partnership working, good communication skills, a positive can do attitude to change and a passion for making a difference by developing a system to meet the needs of the borough.
