Specialist Teacher of the Visually Impaired
32.5 Hours per week – Permanent / Full Time
Salary: £25,714 - £41,604 per annum plus SEN allowance (£2,270 – 4,479)
We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, experienced and fully qualified, Specialist Teacher of the Visually Impaired (1 FTE) to join a large well-established local authority team. This is a peripatetic post supporting C&YP with vision impairment and their families in homes, mainstream, and specialist settings across the age range 0-25. Consideration may be given to suitably experienced candidates who do not currently hold the mandatory qualification in vision impairment but are willing to train.
We operate county wide but deployment can be flexible dependent on the needs/location of children and the skills/experience match of the appointee. Currently, the area will include Lichfield, Cannock and Tamworth.
Employees have a responsibility for, and must be committed to, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people ensuring they are protected from harm. Appointment is subject to a satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
