Who we need

We are looking for an Enterprise Architect to join our Digital and Data Leadership Team. The team has recently been revamped and we are creating a high performing team that can provide excellent support to the complex multi functions of the WMCA. Our key aim is to deliver a robust, high-quality customer focused Digital and Data function to our stakeholders.

With a proven delivery record you will be an experienced Enterprise Architect specialist experienced in working at a senior level in Digital transformation, with responsibility for driving innovation. You will have significant experience in the developing and future planning of modern enterprise architecture across large complex domains and projects.

You’ll already be an experienced Enterprise Architect with strong internal consultancy skills that you use to drive benefits from current and emerging technologies. Your communications skills will enable you to articulate solutions to both technical and non-technical people in way that’s easily understood.

Above all, to succeed in this role, you must be able to actively contribute to the Digital and Data leadership team, demonstrating leadership and strategic thinking in everything you do.

About the role 

The role is part of the Digital and Data Leadership Team, overseeing the Enterprise Architecture. Working with the Strategic Head of Digital and Data to create and maintain the architecture strategy and technology roadmap, you will ensure alignment to WMCA’s organisational needs. You will be accountable for ensuring technology designs are fit for purpose, future proofed and cost effective. You will embed and govern best practice principles and standards whilst being responsible for key enterprise architectural decisions. You will engage the business at a strategic level to envisage, document and deliver a sustainable EA service that drives innovation by applying joined up modern technologies.
