Job Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking to appoint a Medical Needs Leader to manage the medical needs of the students at King Edward VI Handsworth Wood Girls’ Academy. Starting as soon as possible, this is an essential post to ensure the health and welfare of our students. The post holder will act as the school’s first aid leader and would be expected to maintain accurate student medical records. Experience of working with external health or medical agencies would be desirable, as would experience of working with young people in an educational context. 

The post is term time only 10.00 – 14.30 daily (22.50 hours per week).

The successful candidate will be fully supported in their career and professional development through CPD and a commitment to supporting up to date training and development needs.

King Edward VI Handsworth Wood Girls’ Academy is an 11-18 comprehensive school in the north-west of Birmingham.

Our student intake is from a variety of ethnic backgrounds, making for a very harmonious and happy school. This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
