Herefordshire Council are seeking an Education, Health and Care Plan Officer to join the busy Special Educational Needs (SEN) Team.
The successful applicant will implement the statutory requirements of the Special Educational Needs Code of Practice, which includes the preparation and issue of Education, Health and Care Plans to strict timescales. In addition they will provide advice to parents, schools and other partners regarding processes, hold and manage a caseload working in collaboration with families, represent the SEN Team at Annual Reviews and prepare documents for Tribunal.
The successful applicant will have good report writing skills and a working knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice. They will be successful in managing their own workloads and adhering to strict deadlines while also delivering team priorities. Good communication skills are essential, along with proficient ICT skills.
