This is a part time position, working 18.5 hours per week.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the management team within Adoption Assessment.  You will hold responsibility for the delivery of effective and safe services for children in adoption in line with the relevant legislation, regulation, policy, research and good practice frameworks. You will participate actively in the vision and mission of the regional adoption agency, Together4Children. You will have responsibility for managing and supervising social workers, ensuring that they are effectively supported to strive for an outstanding adoption service. You will work closely with colleagues from all areas of social work, including safeguarding and children in care, to ensure that we are tracking children and identifying permanence at the earliest opportunity for children if adoption is the plan, this should include early permanence. You will work closely with partner agencies, including VAA's and colleagues in the RAA and be able to stay abreast of legislative changes, research and guidance and policy changes.

You will have significant post qualifying experience and be able to manage and lead a team efficiently in a challenging environment.  You must have experience of adoption.
